Thing in Common run a Tool Library in Kings Cross and (soon) Archway, London. We have hundreds of tools and useful things. You can join for a small monthly subscription. Membership is free if you live in social housing or are on a low income.

Collections and returns can be made 24 hours a day at our smart locker unit, using your allocated PIN number. All items need to be returned by 1200 noon on Wednesdays. Our volunteers are available 7am until 7pm most days. Items can be collected any time from 2pm on Wednesdays

Archway Site - Caxton House Community Centre N19 3RQ

Archway site will open in 2025 

Membership Fees 

£3.75 per month for residents in Islington, London 

FREE for Islington residents in social housing or on low income
